As the market evolves, what is your primary focus for ensuring that SQH maintains a competitive edge against the global mega-chains?

"At Swiss Quality Hotels, our primary focus is to strengthen and support independent Swiss hotels while preserving their individuality. We believe that smaller, owner-managed hotels have a unique advantage: authenticity, personal service, and strong local roots. To ensure they remain competitive with global mega-chains, we provide our members with powerful tools in sales, marketing, and distribution, giving them access to international visibility and professional resources that would otherwise be difficult to achieve independently. At the same time, we actively foster collaboration within our network, enabling knowledge-sharing and collective growth.
Another key pillar is our commitment to quality and sustainability. By supporting our members in initiatives such as Swisstainable, we help them meet evolving guest expectations while strengthening their long-term positioning.
In short, we empower small and medium-sized hotels to compete on a global level without losing what makes them truly special."

What core technical challenge are you solving for your members' inventory?

"The core technical complexity we are focused on is ensuring real-time rate and inventory consistency across a highly fragmented distribution landscape. As a cooperative with different PMS setups and rate strategies, the challenge lies in synchronizing dynamic inventory while avoiding rate leakage caused by uncontrolled redistribution. Our priority is to combine centralized distribution governance with automated, real-time connectivity, ensuring B2B buyers access accurate data while safeguarding each hotel’s commercial strategy."
