HyperGuest brings direct connectivity to Althoff Hotels, where “Zuhause bei Freunden” guides three distinct brands

SupplyHotel September 7, 2026

Family-owned since 1984 and guided by the same principles to this day, Althoff Hotels has built something unusual in European hospitality: three brands with genuinely different personalities and target audiences. Althoff COLLECTION represents timeless European elegance. AMERON Collection brings urban comfort and contemporary hospitality to city stays. URBAN LOFT offers a younger, design-forward approach to hospitality. Different brands, different guests, different expectations connected by a shared philosophy of genuine hospitality.

We're pleased to announce that Althoff COLLECTION is now live on HyperGuest, bringing direct connectivity to a portfolio where individuality is the core.

We conducted a mini-interview with Angelika Viebahn, Group Director Revenue & Distribution at Althoff Hotels, to talk about what holds a multi-brand portfolio together, where distribution complexity comes in, and what changes with direct-to-buyer connectivity.

The Vision

What ties the Althoff guest experience together across all three distinct brands?

"What ties our brands together is our Guest Promise: Zuhause bei Freunden, at home with friends. This promise is the umbrella under which Althoff COLLECTION’s timeless elegance, AMERON Collection's urban comfort, and URBAN LOFT’s contemporary lifestyle all exist. Regardless of which brand and property a guest chooses, they encounter the same genuine warmth, the same attentiveness, the same sense of belonging across Althoff Hotels. It's not about the aesthetics or the location, it's about how we make them feel in a way that is authentic to each individual brand and hotel."

The Challenge

Where does distribution complexity hurt you most?

“Managing properties with their own character, guest clientele and preferred source markets presents a real challenge. Each requires different booking channels and distribution strategies. The challenge is connecting all these channels—OTAs, direct booking platforms, corporate partnerships and regional distributors—within one unified system, while respecting each brand’s individual identity and each hotel’s commercial needs.”

The Partnership

What changes for Althoff once direct-to-buyer connectivity is in place?

"Once direct-to-buyer connectivity is in place, we save significant time and reduce manual workload across our portfolio. But more importantly, we retain the flexibility to choose the right distribution channel for each hotel based on its specific market, clientele, and commercial strategy. It's not about standardizing everything, it's about automating the connections while preserving the autonomy that makes each property successful."

Thank you to the Althoff Hotels team for sharing these insights and for the collaboration.
