How Blu Hotels Is Taking Italian Hospitality to More Markets with HyperGuest

SupplyHotel October 28, 2026

For over three decades, Blu Hotels has been one of the leading names in Italian hospitality, with more than 30 four-star and four-star superior hotels stretching from the Mediterranean coast to the Alps, the Dolomites and the shores of Lake Garda. The group welcomes leisure, business and wellness travellers, and builds each stay around comfort, good food and a strong connection to the destination.

Blu Hotels is now connected to HyperGuest, giving travel providers worldwide direct access to its rates and availability, with no intermediaries in between. We conducted a mini-interview with Michela Gennari, Sales & Reservations Manager at Blu Hotels, to hear what has changed since going direct.

The Vision

Guests want a clear sense of place, not just a room. How does that shape the Blu Hotels brand?

"Guests today are increasingly conscious and demanding. They no longer evaluate only the room or the price, but the overall experience as a whole and, in this context, we are lucky enough to be in Italy, with its extraordinary heritage of lands and landscapes, culture, food and wine excellence, up from the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, passing through lakes and art cities. For Blu Hotels this means enhancing the unique characteristics and distinctive features of each destination, adding high-quality services, attentive hospitality and digital innovation, to build an authentic and complete experience."

The Challenge

Before connecting with HyperGuest, what was the biggest distribution hurdle your team faced?

"With the growth of digital channel, the biggest challenge for Blu Hotels was to coordinate effectively different sales channels, keeping cohesion in availability and prices management. Complexity does not only refer to the number of sales channels, but also to the necessity to better integrate systems and processes and to quickly react to demand variations. This is why we have started to rely on an integrated-distribution-model, supported by technology, data analysis and automation, aiming to make management more effective and controllable."

The Partnership

What made direct connectivity with HyperGuest the right fit, and what has it changed so far?

"We have been collaborating with HyperGuest for a short time, but we are already experiencing easier distribution, linked to process automation, and an increase of efficiency and speed of workflows. The most significant feature of the collaboration is the possibility to sell our product at the same time on different geographical markets; it has improved our online visibility and the number of new partners and connections that we can reach in few steps. It means also process automation, that leads to a reduction on operative activities and an effortless, real-time management of availability, prices and reservations."

Thank you to Michela for the conversation!
